We seek after these things

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. -13th Article of Faith

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we strive to live these principles in all areas of our lives.  As creators and consumers of media, I feel we have an ever greater responsibility to uphold the standards we believe in.  We should be guarding our homes and families against inappropriate and harmful messaging. We should use discretion in what we

choose to watch and listen to and find programs that align with our beliefs.  

As we create content,  research and write, and promote products and services we should also be upholding the highest standards as representatives of Jesus Christ.  We should be honest in our presentation of information and events.  We should be clean and uplifting in our verbal and written communication.  We should always search for the truth and present an unbiased position.  

We are constantly surrounded by negative influences.  That is the reality of living in this world.  It is easy to align ourselves with the standards of the world,  but we have an obligation to stand out and stand up for what is true and right. As we strive to uphold gospel standards I know the Lord will bless and magnify our efforts.
